Practical Applications | Annual Meeting International 3
Jun 19, 2025 12:15 PM - 01:00 PM(America/New_York)
20250619T1215 20250619T1300 America/New_York Finding Waldo's Book

We will discuss two ALMA-compatible APPs, one designed to assign Remote ID locations to the item record and the second to create inventory files allowing you the opportunity to verify/correct the basic cataloging information. The Idol APP is used to quickly and easily enter the specific location of an item into the ALMA item record and define it in a vast remote storage location environment. Our second APP is primarily designed to conduct inventory but also allows verification of critical cataloging information. With adaptation, it can be used to assist during weeding projects. The created record can be compared with the ALMA Shelf Report to find any missing items that were not scanned. This will identify potential Checked Lost or Missing books. These items were created in-house at UTA and we are willing to share our APPs/coding to help your organization.
