Session Information

It has been seven years since we first implemented Alma/Primo at UMass Boston in 2018. In this presentation, we will share our journey of adapting the system to meet evolving user needs, advancing the system to improve workflow effectiveness and user experience, and advocating for equitable access through system enhancements. Our process has been marked by a series of development, implementation, and integration phases-starting with the baseline essentials following GoLive and progressing to a comprehensive evaluation of system utilization and workflow optimization across multiple stakeholders. While we began with a clear plan of leveraging the ExLibris Premium Service in mind, the journey brought us unexpected yet valuable experiences. Join us to explore how we've balanced the demands of implementing innovative initiatives with the ongoing needs for system maintenance and updates, all within the constraints of limited capacity and resources.
