An Introduction to Alma Data Visualization

Session Information

Ex Libris' Data Visualization (DV) tool offers powerful functionality and significant potential for streamlining data processing for everyone from Analytics beginners to super users. However, this potential is hidden behind its perception as a tool primarily for making graphs. This session is an overview of the DV UI and functionality, including the creation of data sets, graphs, data flow automation, and joins without writing SQL. We'll discuss where the tool shines and its limitations. It is a fast-paced overview live in DV. The accompanying slides will include a video recording of the presentation so that attendees can re-watch desired sections. Presentation materials will also include a bibliography of helpful documentation sources. By the end, audience members will have the foundation to customize Data Visualization workbooks and explore potential functionality for their institution.
