What Did I Get Myself Into? Starting an 8.5 Month Migration Project Three Months Late

Back to Schedule Check-inYou can join session 5 minutes before start time.

Session Information

Have you ever had one of those projects that seemed adequately scoped for time - even though it would be a bit of a stretch because you'd be doing something in a slightly modified way and learning on the fly? That's the situation the presenter encountered when she agreed to help migrate one new consortium member into her consortium's Alma environment. Then, contracting hijinks ensured that caused the project to lose about three months from the start that could have been spent working. Find out how this challenge and others were surmounted (albeit clumsily sometimes). Hear about tips for keeping up project lead and library energy to complete the project (well close to - actual completion date will be in a few more weeks!). With all of that, we should correct the title to "Leading a 5.5 Month Alma Migration Project for a New Consortium Member."
