At our library interlibrary loan activities have historically lived outside of Alma. Patrons placed requests in three different interfaces depending on where the item was located. A series of scripts, batch jobs, and workflow steps made it work, but many points in the process could, and occasionally did, fail. To alleviate this chaos we previously took a baby step and implemented the ILLiad-Alma add-on for lending requests. This year, we have undertaken a larger project to connect Alma and INN-Reach through the D2IR API eliminating the convoluted process that had connected these. Patrons and library staff now have a single interface to manage Alma and INN-Reach activities. Planning has started to bring ILLiad borrowing requests into Alma and further consolidate these activities for everyone. In this presentation, we will describe how each of these was implemented as well as plans for completing the final steps.
