The University of Puget Sound's Collins Library Management had an unusual idea. We should create a collection of zines that students, staff, and faculty can take out to facilitate conversation about unique media types, different perspectives in self-publishing, and what actually is a piece of 'work'. Tracy Tolf, the new Associate Director of Resource Management, decided that this would be an excellent project to better understand the needs of the Collins Library and their instance of Alma and Primo. This presentation will cover Tracy's process of how the Collins Library selected materials, how they chose to represent them digitally in Alma and Primo, and the current project status of their little 'zine' library.
